Hope you all had a great Christmas! I said in my last post that I won't be posting till the new year and that it will be these Yearly round up posts; however I've decided why not give you the first one now?
This year, I was going to do a yearly favourites but I don't want to rush this so I'm going to split them up into Beauty, Skincare, Book, Films etc and memories from the past year! When choosing what to put in each post, there was a lot of choice and I wanted to keep them quite short (so you won't get too bored!) and also remembering back to January this year seemed to hurt my brain so there'll probably be a lot of things I've forgotten but I've tried my best and hopefully you'll enjoy these posts! So as you can tell from the title, I'm going to kick things off with beauty!

Kate Moss for Rimmel Lipstick #19
I actually have mentioned this in a few posts including a passed favourites (here) but it has remained a favourite through out the entirity of this year. I'd class it as a dark nude and it gives such a grown up look to my face. It's become a serious staple for me and I think I'm going to carry on loving it for years to come- well until Rimmel break my heart and discontinue it!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
How could this not be included! I haven't used any other concealer this year but this one. It just works and, again, I've already mentioned this a hundred times already. It lightens under my eyes and covers up blemishes without bringing any attention to them. One thing that I love about this is the fact there is no shimmer and the colour match is perfect for me! This has gone up in price over the past year I think but it doesn't surprise me the high demand for it in the blogging world as well as everywhere else. I do want to branch out of my concealer comfort zone in 2014 but I can't see anything tearing me aware from this Collection Concealer!

Maybelline Baby Lips 'Cherry Me'
What do you know! Another product I've mentioned time and time again but this lip balm is great in so many ways; the fact it really does moisturise and sooth my lips aswell as gives them that little tint of red. This is the only Baby Lips I have and along with the formula and the slight tint it give, the smell is to die- being a (no surprise here) cherry scented lip balm. This is a purchase that I have bought just a few months ago but I feel it deserves to be in this post!

MUA 'Undressed Me' Palette
This Eyeshadow palette is probably the most featured thing on my blog being because of how cheap it is and how good it is- with an array of colours that are just perfect for me this palette has endless combinations- some of which I'm still discovering now after a year. When I bought this palette, I thought it wouldn't last long at all or the eye shadow would just fall off my lids but I was wrong- I haven't 'hit pan' on any of the colours yet and I'm still far from. The colour intensity is perfect- the staying power also and so how could I not include this in this post.

Rimmel Fix And Perfect Primer
I don't think I can remember how I coped without a primer other than getting so annoyed at myself when my make-up wouldn't last or my dry patches were so prominent. This is such a a life saver and, yes, it is the only primer I have used before and I haven't tried any others but it minimizes the look of my pores and the  appearance of my dry skin. It makes my skin so soft and gives my make-up and smooth base to start on. I've got to say, for the price of £6.99, for me, you don't get your moneys worth of product and I make sure I scrape every last drop from the tube but I have come to the terms with the price and I do feel it is worth the money and I have used it all year round!

Sleek Face Form Palette
I'm more adding this to my yearly favourites for the bronzer; the fact that this palette comes in different shades for different skin tones means that it came with the perfect bronzer for my skin. If the fact that it's the right match for my skin wasn't enough, the bronzer is matte which makes it my perfect contour colour. I have to say, once I do run out of the bronzer, I will probably just purchase the contour Kit from sleek- as you get more of the bronzer- because I don't tend to use the blush or the highlight as I have other alternatives and , for me, the blush doesn't seem to give much colour pay off if any at all. I'm not sure if this was because it was so muted to suit the skin tone of a fairer person of that it just doesn't work as a blush for me. All that aside, like I said the bronzer has completed my life and so I had to include this in my favourites!

Real Techniques Brushes
I own the powder brush and the expert face brush and I don't what I would do without them. The Powder brush is great to apply my pressed powder or to create an all over natural bronzed look. The expert face brush has been perfect also; the shape of the brush makes my make-up easier to blend and rarely leaves streak marks around my face like the common foundation brushes do. I'm hoping to be purchasing another set of the brushes in the new year and they've also been added to my Christmas list so we'll have to see what happens (this post is queued so at the time of writing I had no clue if I was getting them). They have made my make-up routines so much more simple and quicker that of course they had to be in my favourites.

There's so many more products that I'd like to include in this post such as my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and Avon Extended Mascara but I didn't want this post to be unbearably long.
But I hope you enjoyed this first installment of my Best Of 2013! What has been your favourite beauty products of the past year?
Again, I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year and I hope you're ok,

As you can probably tell from the #3, I hardly do favourites but in the new year you're going to be bombarded with favourites from the past year in 3/4 separate post of what I've loved throughout the past year so just a friendly warning! However, I did want to fit in one last favourites that is consisted of things that I haven't been loving all year but just over this last month or two!

Clean and Clear Advantage Spot Control Set: If you have a manic spot breakout this is the product for you! I used this set back in my spot days when I had horrible acne and this worked so much.  I rediscovered this product a week or so ago when I has an horrendous break out due to stress etc and this worked a treat! The set came with the cleanser and moisturiser that is shown in the photo above but also a spot treatment gel which I sadly last but they all work wonders and are a great trio. I haven't seen this in spots for a while but it still has the set on the Clean and Clear official website so if you're interested, keep your eyes peeled but I know they do the spot gel separate and the moisturiser which comes with a handy pump now! I haven't seen the cleanser on it's own they only have variation of it but ,again, keep an eye out!

Dainty Doll Lipstick #004: I ordered this from fragrance direct along with the concealer and I have to see I was hardly impressed either of the products I chose as the concealer just creased and the lipstick packaging didn't keep the lipstick up when I was applying it. You'll probably be wondering why I 'm including the lipstick in this post then? Well, aside from the dodgy packaging, the colour of this lipstick I love and is my next step to my adventure of branching out on lipstick colours. This isn't a dark nude like I'd normally wear and is a lot more pinker but I really like it! Also, if you know of or own any lipsticks of a similar colour please let me know!

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser: When I first bought and used this I absolutely hated it as I just felt like it left my skin oily but I must of been in a bad mood that day because over these past few weeks, it's been a life saver and safes me from standing in my room freezing cold apply my body butter all over my body and it leaves my skin nice and smooth. I treat this product as a normal moisturiser that I use on my face my cleansing or exfoliating before apply it and it really is a great product! It's not a necessary but it's great if you want to save time on moisturising outside the shower.

Avon Super Extend Mascara: I have had this for ages and I find it gives my lashes so much length. I used to just use it or my bottom lashes as, because of the wand size, I could get into the corners without getting he mascara everywhere! It's only been recently that I've been using on my top lashes as well for a everyday wear so there's nothing too dramatic going on! I've found that Avon products are over looked a lot of the time but the mascaras are something you should definitely look into because the ones I have tried have never failed me including this one!

One thing I would like to finally mention is an App I've been loving which is WattPad which is used by avid readers and writers to publish their work or just to read others. It's most known to be used by fan girls to write their dirty fan fictions but it's not just that and it has some amazing stories on it. I've being reading one called 'Falling for the Opposite' which I've been liking. Most of them aren't up to professional level which I find quite nice as you can just see this book coming together in front of your eyes! It can take a while to discover a story that you're hooked into and want to read but there's something satisfying about finally finding a book that's perfect!

So, this is my last post before Christmas and I doubt I'll be posting till the new year as I'm off to Essex to see family for new year and my days are jam packed between then and Christmas. So, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hope you're doing well,
I'm going to start by apologizing for my messed up schedule but I'm wanting to get this post out before the Christmas festivities kick off!
So earlier this week, Thursday to be precise, I headed into Manchester with 3 of my friends to watch Andy Jordan. I knew him from Made In Chelsea but his career on the Chelsea located TV show is nothing compared to what he can become with his music. He only has two songs on iTunes and anything else I've heard him sing has been covers but that didn't affect the concert in the slightest!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on VIP tickets which included meeting Andy, a signed poster and an opportunity to have a photo with him.So the night started well when we met him; it's always weird to see someone you've watched on your TV or on your computer screens in real life but everyone seemed to be very relaxed around him and he was nice to everyone- he also looks slightly different in real life! One bonus to this concert was there was no over the top fan girls in sight! I won't go into the ins and outs of our conversation but we had a short chat which seemed to go on a lot longer than other people's with him and it was nice to be able to talk to someone like him on a one to one basis with no pressure to hurry up. I seized the opportunity to have a photo with him which I posted on instagram @sarahndsons  along with a video of the concert but here it is aswell:

Having the VIP passes meant we had earlier access to the stage room and we had amazing places- standing on the barrier in the middle of the stage. It was a long wait before the support act even came on so we seemed to fill that time taking silly selfies.
The concert was at the Sound Control which was the same place I went to see Lewis Watson and Reconnected back in the day. It's become one of my favourite places for a concert because of how intimate the concert it is and I feel like I know the venue well now.
The support act ,Andy said, was a girl who encouraged him to pursue a career in music and for that I thank her! She was a country singer who lived in Nashville called Fiona Culley who Andy asked to support him while she was home for Christmas. Her music was not something I would normally listen to but more of my dad's taste of music; but the way she took well known songs and countrified them was amazing as well as doing quite a few originals. Her cover of 'Ho Hey' by The Lumineers was my favourite which had everyone singing along and having a good time!

There was then another wait before Andy came on but it was well worth the wait; starting with his version of No Diggity. His set also included mash ups of Drake's 'Hold On We're Going Home' with John Newman's 'Love Me Again' and the one I was looking forward to- 'Fast Car' by Tracey Chapman (which he dedicated to his mum who was there that night in Manchester) with a song by James Bay which I think was called 'Moved Together' which he later covered with Fiona on her Youtube chanbel but don't quote me on this Whatever song it was, it was phenomenal! He also sang some his two originals 'Whole Lot Of Water' and 'We Don't Care' and also played a new untitled song which he said he'd be releasing in the new year hopefully!

His guitarist, Alex, had his little sister there that night and he got her up on stage to dance with him but they just stood there holding hands before he accidentally stood on his guitar wire, pulling it out. He then just decided to take off his guitar and put it down to pick the girl up and let her say hello. It was adorable!
The night finished on an amazing high as he sung an amazing version of 'Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)' by Klankarussell which got everyone clapping and really joining in and enjoying themselves!

It was a short concert but the night was amazing and was a great way to end 2013! I hope to be able to see him in concert again soon!
What was the last concert you went to?
I'd also love to know what you think of this style of post!
Hope you're ok,

I'm yet to actually post a Christmas related post and I'm sorry for that but I'm going to try and knock everything at the head at once by doing the Christmas tag! When I saw freshbeautyxox do this tag a while back ,that was created by beginners beauty, I couldn't help but have a go myself!

What are you usually up to on Christmas Eve?
We normally go to church that night as we then have all of the next day to spend in out pyjamas opening presents. Once we're home, some friends sometimes come round for a drink and a mince pie otherwise we spent the night watching some Christmas TV. One small tradition we have which we don't do every year but we get to open one present the night before just to get us a little bit exited!

Who do you spend Christmas day with?
It changes every single year; every two years we have Grandma and sometimes my auntie and cousin join us from France but this years very different and for the first time ever it's just going to be me, mum dad and my older sister (oh and my sister's rabbit Alex)!

Do you enjoy giving or receiving gifts?
I'd be lying if I say I don't like getting presents but one thing I love doing is planning presents for family. This hasn't really happened this year because we've all been busy with school and work, sadly.

What does your outfit normally consist of?
Normally some traditional Christmas colours or just a nice cosy sweater. However, seeing as we're having no visitors this year, it might be spent in my jim jams.

Do you enjoy shopping for your loved ones gifts?
Yes I do; like I said before, I love planning out presents but this year we've all been so busy, present shopping has been left to the last minute or we're ordering online.

Have you ever received a gift that you disliked and pretended to like?
Hasn't everyone?! Christmas day isn't complete without an overreaction towards a gift. You've got a real task on your hands when you have to overreact when you get two of the same things!

What would be your ideal Christmas be?
One where everything goes right! Where the oven actually works and dinner is ready on time. A simple Christmas is always the best Christmas!

What is your least favourite part of Christmas?
There isn't a major part I hate. Maybe waiting or everyone to wake up before you open presents or having to find homes for your presents after.

What is the best gift you have ever received?
Most of my presents have been my favourites. Most years, we get one big present and then some little bits. My favourite big present has to have been my Ipod touch last year; I don't know what I did without it!
I remember the time I got a signed Jacqueline Wilson book and I nearly fainted I was so happy!

I hope you enjoyed this quick tag and I tag you all- no one in specific but if you do decide to do this tag let me know in the comments and how are you spending Christmas this year?
Hope you're ok,

Stupid Sarah went and deleted the post but I was heading off to Made in Chelsea's Andy Jordan's concert.
These pictures we taken prior to the concert as the lighting would have been awful and I wouldn't of had time but I hope you like them!

An account post and photos to come! I was also wondering if you had any ideas or things you would like to see on my blog in the future? I'm thinking of doing a giveaway so I'd like to know what you think!

Hope you're having a good day,
I've been wanting to this post for ages and I'd like to start by saying that the skincare products change fairly frequently-depending on which skin problem is troubling me the most so this routine is focused on how my skin is feeling at the moment.
It's probably best to mention that I have combination skin but it's more on the dry side and I don't get over oily skin but I do suffer from acne which comes with age and has calmed down a a lot from what it used to be. On top of all that I also get a lot of blackheads so I basically have every skin problem going! At the moment though I've had fairly dry skin (which I think has come from the whether) and also have had a lot of blackheads. So I better stop babbling and show you my Skin care routine at the end of the day!

I going to try and keep this as short and sweet as possible starting with removing my make-up!
I use The L'oreal Micellar Solution which you've heard me going on about all time.(I did I full blog post on it which you can read here) I use this, like I said, to take my make-up off with a cotton pad.
I then pop in the shower and I tend to cleanse my face while I'm in the shower- at the moment I've been using the Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Scrub. Eventhough I do have dry skin, I don't find exfoliators tough on my skin and especially this as it's such a light exfoliator. I find this stuff works wonders on minimizing my pores and removing those blackheads- I can really tell when I skip a day using this! If I chose not apply my cleanser in the shower, I will just do it over the sink and use a flannel for a little extra exfoliate.Like I said before, the cleanser I use depends on what skin problem I'm targeting but other cleansers I use and love are the Good Things Fresh Start Creamy Cleanser or the Clean And Clear Spot Control Cleanser which I'm not sure they sell anymore but there's similar Clean and Clear products that are great for acne.
Then I got on and use the Garnier Simple Essentials Toner; I haven't used this long enough to notice any difference in my skin but I will sure keep you posted and let me know if you want a full review!
Before I apply my moisturiser, I apply salvon all over my face. It is an anti-bacterial cream so I place it on parts of my face where I have broken out. Recently though, I've found myself applying it all over my face to hydrate my skin a little more and it's been working great!
You've heard my speak about this before as well and that is my Simple Moisturiser which just does the job!
To finish off,I use my Good Things Stop That Spot Cleansing Gel which I apply directly onto my spots and leave it awhile to soak in. Again, I've not been using this long enough to notice a difference but I just fancied a change up to what I normally use which is the Clean and Clear Spot Treatment which I love!

I hope you enjoyed this little skincare post! I have also done a skincare routine for after a late night out which you can read here. I'd love to hear what you include in your skincare routine and what skincare products you recommend!
Hope you're having a good day,
So yesterday, I headed down to the Clothes Show in Birmingham with school where I woke up at 5:00 and left school at 6:30. It' was a long journey there; spending most of the time sleeping. Once we arrived it was just like last year in the fact the size of it all overwhelmed me! We had 20 minutes before we had to head on over to the main arena where we watched a catwalk show. Last year's catwalk was amazing even more so as we were right near the front. However, this year it didn't seem as bigger of a production and seemed a lot shorter. Saying that though, he catwalk is and will remain the highlight of my day! The catwalk starting with a performance from Stooshe. The catwalks theme seemed to be a weekend a way with the friends arriving at the house which followed an autumnal theme and then moving on to lounging in the pool to getting all cosy and ready for bed which is the part where all the ladies look forward to. They also threw in winter wear and festival style. What makes the catwalks at the clothes show so enjoyable is how fun they make it and it's not so serious with dance routines thrown in as well. Also being the 25th year of the clothes show, they went out with a bang!

Once the catwalk had finished we spent the rest of the day exploring all the stalls. I saw my fair share of celebrities for my favourite TV show Made In Chelsea and TOWIE. I didn't manage to meet any of them personally but I just admired from a distance. Jamie Laing and Andy Jordan both had stalls. I managed to see Jamie but Andy wasn't arriving till 4 and I'd already left sadly! They also had their usual UK & Ireland's next top model catwalk and meet & greet and even though I wasn't a fan of the show, all the models were lovely!

My Clothes Show post was the first post I ever wrote on this blog which you can read here. At the end of that post I wrote a little note to myself of things to remember next time I go and I tried to use them however, again I regretted not bring my other lens with better zoom with me and I didn't get may freebies but one thing I didn't do like I did last year was waste my money. I didn't mention in that post really but I spent most of the day last year with only one bag and by the end I just wanted to spend spend spend so wasted money on things I really didn't need so this year I came away with only one bag and one I was pleased with and that was Model's own. It's 3 for £10 with a load of freebies chucked in and I was happy with that. By the end I felt disappointed that it was the only thing I bought but I just kept telling myself that I've spent money on things I know I will use and I'm only £10 down and have more money to sped on things I can spend time making sure I like!
The Model's own colours I chose were Coral Reef, Lemon Meringue which are very summer/spring colours I feel and Copper Pot which i'll definitely be wearing this Christmas. The fourth was the clothes show special which came as a freebie called Show Stopper 2; I'm not much of a fan of glitter nail varnish but I adore this one and when I saw it on Lily's blog before I went, it got me very excited! I'll think I'll be posting a NOTD with it on very soon!

I didn't want to squeeze all the photos I took into this post so I've made the album public on facebook so feel free to look through here.
I hope you enjoyed this daily account style post and let me know if you like this kind of post! Have you ever been to the Clothes Show or are planning on going?
Hope you're having a good day!

I went to the clothes show yesterday so I thought I'd show you what I wore! Later today or tomorrow I'll be posting another post on the events of the day and the small number of things I bought!

Hope you're having a good day, x
So I did say that I wouldn't be posting for the next two weeks last week but I felt I couldn't leave you for two weeks and ,while I'm having a break from revision, I thought I would do a quick tag that I haven't been tagged in but saw the amazing Rebecca from Autumn Leaves and I felt I had to have a go!

1. Liquid or powder highlighter?
It has to be powder because I find it a lot easier to work with. I'm also not a big highlighting fan so I find the liquid ones look a little scary!

2. Cream or powder blush/ eye shadow?
Overall, It has to be a powder for both because I own more powders but I think cream blushers are amazing and can look a lot less cakey. I like a good cream eye shadow, especially when you're in a rush, but I find you can't really get a good smokey eye without using powder eye shadows as well.

3.Primer or no Primer?
Primer! I find it minimizes pores and lets my make-up slide seamlessly over my face without getting attached to any dry patches on my face.

4.Lipstick, Lipgloss or Lip stain?
Lipstick! There's something so satisfying about buying a new lipstick as well. I've never been a fan of a lip gloss because they cause a lot of problems when added with windy weather and my long hair. I've never really ventured down the lip stain aisle so I am wanting to in the future but for now I'll be sticking to my beloved lipsticks!

5. Eye liner or no eyeliner?
If you've been following my blog for a while you may have now got the idea that me and eye liner really don't go well together. If I was to use it, it would be used on my water line and that's it.

6. Neutral, smokey, or colourful?
I would love to be wild and daring and say colourful but I'd be lying and I'm going to combine the two and say I love a good neutral smokey eye!

7. Bold or Basic Lips?
My preference is kind of in between the two as I go quite dark nudes so they are bold and basic but overall I do like a bold lip every once in a blue moon.

8. Pale or tanned/bronzed? I do embrace my almost transparent skin and get the foundation colour that is right for my skin but I do like to add a little colour into my face but I restrain myself from going crazy with the bronzer!

9. Full face, One item or no make-up?
It really depends on the situation. If it means on a day to day basis, because of school, I don't wear it during the week and only if i'm going out at the weekend but when I do go out, I have to have it all on!

10. Palettes or individual products?
Palettes! They're so easy for travelling and there's always so many different combinations you can make with the colours when thinking about an eye shadow palette and so you're not limited. However, when it comes to other products, I like them to be individuals.

I may have not been tagged by anyone but I'm going to tag a few people and I'm going to tag:
You should check out all of their blogs because they're amazing!

I know this was just a quick post and I'll be back into the swing of things soon starting with Friday where I'm heading to the clothes show where I'll be spending the day watching a cat walk show and shopping till my hearts content. I plan on posting an OOTD when I get home and I might do a haul if I end up buying anything worth showing!

Hope you're okay,x
