A truly great book to get lost in, with a unique and interesting story that any book lover will appreciate. When Zachary discovers a book in a library, he is confused to find it retelling a story taken from his own memory. Confused yet intrigued, Zachary is determined to find out what this all means - how did this book come to be? What has it got to do with his? With a story of mysterious doors, keys and a bee, beautiful metaphors and a gripping tale, it's definitely worth picking up this winter. 

If you're yet to pick this up, now is definitely the time. A beautifully written that is really great to get cosy and enjoy. Kya Clark, known as "Marsh Girl" is suspected of murdering Chase Andrews. We learn the story of Kya Clark's upbringing, the good and the bad, and we see how her unusual childhood leads to the belief that she killed Chase Andrews. This is such a well-written book that it's easy to spend hours enjoying chapter after chapter. 

This is a great YA pick to read this winter. While it's easy to feel that YA is an exhausted genre, this book shows that there is still so many amazing stories and unique books out there to read in the YA genre. If I was to describe this book in one word it is "different" - the narrative is like no other I've read before and it did have some surprises along the way that tied up all the different perspective in the final few chapters. 

It's a story about generational differences, and how generations before impact those thereafter. It looks at the older couple Gottfried and Marla hemmings who sit on a mountain of wealth but after deciding to not support their children, this has an effect on the grandchildren of the hemmings. This tackles racism and the toxic culture of affluent white families in a way I've never read before. It's a really interesting read and definitely one I recommend for this winter. 

There's always time for a nice romance read in winter! Jasmine Guillory always knows how to write a story and I loved her previous book The Proposal and I loved this one just as much; both great reads to devour in a day or two. The book Party of Two follows Olivia Munroe. She has just moved to LA to start her own law firm. When sat in her hotel bar, she meets Max Powell who she spends the whole night laughing and flirting with. It's only when the night is over that she discovers that this is junior senator Max Powell. While Olivia isn't interested in dating, how can she resist the chocolate cake that turns up on her door with the invitation for a date? 

A super easy read that is a great break from hard-hitting novels. A simple yet lovely story to give you all the feels! 

A classic wintery tale! Northern Lights is a classic children's book but it was only last winter that I delved into this world. For the wintery landscapes, cold atmospheres, adventures and magic, this is perfect for winter! No matter your age, this is definitely the right time of year to delve into this world and the His Dark Materials series.

There's something about autumn/winter fashion trends that brings me so much joy! The cable-knit cardigans, cosy jumpers, layering pieces and finally dusting off your boots hidden at the back of your wardrobe during summer. While I've been keeping my wardrobe streamlined over the last year and trying to avoid fast fashion as much as possible, I thought I'd share with you some of the pieces from my wardrobe that I'm enjoying wearing and layering this autumn. I love having pieces that can be styled in so many different ways! 

This & Other Stories Mock Neck Sweater is a more recent wardrobe addition and I'm having to stop myself from going back and picking this up in more shades! While autumn is usually about the rusts and mustards, this year I'm loving adding some subtle colour and muted shades into my look! The quality of this jumper is great and I love the neckline! This the perfect piece for the transitional months

These are ideal for Autumn! This on-trend piece I've seen in many high street shops recently. I picked mine up last winter from H&M and love it - it's a great staple for this season and those to come! A shacket is a great layering piece and also one that can easily go with half of my wardrobe. When it's warmer, I'll throw it over a t-shirt, maybe a turtle neck and jeans or throw a hoodie underneath to keep me extra snug! So easy to style, I don't think there's been a day yet this autumn I haven't worn this out! Mine is in a lovely rust colour but the beige and muted shades you can get similar jackets in I love. 

How I managed to survive a winter without these before, I will never know! I have the vegan leather lace-up booths and they are fantastic! They definitely need some wearing in but soon you will be crunching leaves and sludging through the snow in these trusty boots.  They are also super easy to style. Whether it's simple jeans, a jumper and a beanie or something more put together like a midi skirt and turtle neck. 

I love this look! Chunky tortoiseshell buttons on a ribbed knit cardi is a lovely wardrobe addtion. While it might not be practical for the colder days, it sure is a great staple for rainy days stuck inside or to add to your working-from-home wardrobe. Monki have some great options in simple pastels. I personally love the pale purple cardigan!
